We are proud to announce the next step in our long-standing collaboration with Bosch Rexroth.
For more than five years, Owasys and Bosch Rexroth have worked together on Open Linux-based platforms within the BODAS ecosystem. This expanded partnership takes our collaboration further, combining Bosch Rexroth’s expertise in mobile electronics and machine control with Owasys’ capabilities in connectivity, telematics and Linux-based platforms.
Together, we are helping enable more connected, scalable and efficient solutions for the next generation of off-highway vehicles.

Bosch Rexroth will expand its IoT and telematics portfolio for mobile machinery through partnerships, further developing telematics units, remote access, and over-the-air updates in collaboration with partner companies. Manufacturers of off-highway vehicles will benefit from a more comprehensive and scalable IoT and telematics offering, enabling them to roll out new features across their vehicles, modify information, and ensure compatibility with attachments. The first partner for this joint IoT and telematics offering is telematics expert Owasys. Further partnerships are planned.
With BODAS (BOsch Rexroth Digital Application Solutions), Bosch Rexroth offers manufacturers of off-highway vehicles a comprehensive range of mobile electronics and telematics that support digital transformation, increase productivity and efficiency, and facilitate automation. This includes hardware and software, as well as the BODAS Connect telematics and IoT portfolio. “With this new approach of expanding the IoT and telematics portfolio together with partners, manufacturers of off-highway vehicles will have access to a significantly wider selection of telematics solutions in the future, which are more scalable and efficient than our previous offering,” summarizes Martin Sykora, Head of Sales Mobile Electronics at Bosch Rexroth.
The first partner in this initiative is Owasys Advances Wireless Devices. The two companies have been working together for more than five years on the development of Open Linux-based platforms used within the BODAS ecosystem. As a result they have created a robust technological foundation for connected off-highway machinery and provides a strong basis for accelerating future innovation.
Under the expanded partnership, Owasys will contribute its expertise in telematics hardware and device management. Bosch Rexroth customers will benefit from access to Owasys’ Linux-based telematics gateways and advanced device management capabilities, while maintaining seamless integration with Bosch Rexroth’s existing digital ecosystem.

The collaboration will also continue to support essential connected-machine capabilities, including remote access, diagnostics, and over-the-air (OTA) software updates for Bosch Rexroth electronic control units, helping manufacturers reduce downtime and streamline software deployment throughout the machine lifecycle.
